A Month to Remember: 844km by Motorbike in Northern Thailand

Categories Thailand, Where Have I Been?

In the last month Craig and I have:
- driven over 800 kilometers on a motorbike through the mountains of Thailand’s rugged northwest;
- fallen off said motorbike three times, once down a ravine;
- had the motorbike fall on one of us two times (out of the three);
- been gnawed on by a baby tiger, fed a 4 month old tiger and rested our heads on the tummy of a 1 year old tiger;
- gotten salmonella; and
- strained a hamstring.

It has been an exciting month, to be sure.

My friend Bryce has said I am “A pitbull in a Chihuahua’s body”, which – after almost 8 months of injuries, accidents and generous nausea – I’m inclined to agree with. I’m still powering through, though!

  1. Why oh why did I stay in the south. I should have gone north and played with some tigers. Ah well, next time.
