As Legal Nomads has progressed, I’ve been slowly filling in the blanks. It took two years to explain why I quit to travel, and another one until I cobbled together a “Best Of” page. So it makes sense, then, that it took almost 3.5 years for me to aggregate all of my press or PR into place. But I have!
And it is here: Press/PR. Also, it is on the menu navigation bar atop the page. You know, in case you need a Pancake the Tiger fix.
Some housekeeping: a few of you have written to let me know that you have received my post on the train trip to Myityina not once, not twice, but three times. I assure you that while I like trains, I did not send out that post more than once. And the “once” was back in August. Instead, the robots over at Feedburner must like the post because they’ve managed to send it around a few extra times, resulting in quite a few unsubscribes. (Jeez people, mistakes happen!)
This morning I pressed the red button on Feedburner that “nukes” my feed, resetting it from the beginning and recrawling for new posts. So I sincerely hope that you will not receive the Myityina train post again. Nothing against Myityina – it was lovely. But come on, no one is going to visit that place if it’s shoved down their throats, you know? I know you all know.
For what it’s worth, the post that was supposed to go out instead of the train trip was my latest one from Newfoundland. It features a mountain climb, some video a a lot of scree.
I’m in those frantic last days before a big trip, running around Montreal like a chicken with my head cut off to pick up the stuff I need (replenishing my first aid kit, digging out my longer skirts from the boxes I’ve stored for the more conservative countries of Morocco and Turkey), reading up on where I’m heading and figuring out how to put everything into my new, smaller backpack). No matter how many times I come home and leave again, packing still fills me with a giant sense of dread.
New Thrillable Hours later this weekend and more to come shortly. I’ll be leaving for Morocco on 16 October and then heading to Turkey thereafter, with plans fairly vague after that.
Thank you for your patience, and for reading!

Seriously, I have a lot going on right now and just don’t have time to read the same posts numerous times. I just can’t take this any more. I am going to unsubscribe now. Well, I would if I had time.
I’m just kidding! It’s no big deal. It’s been a good reminder to go and read the post because I haven’t had time. Congrats on the press page – I will have to check it out!
Jeremy, I knew I could count on your for a fun reply! Thanks for the congrats and hope you enjoy the train post….all 3 times ;)
Traveling = learning to roll with things…
Three times posted? No big deal. I prescribe some travel for the ones unsubscribing due to the multiple posts – they need some re-booting! :)
Love traveling with you – it’s the next best thing to being there myself…
Bon voyage! Cheers!
Thanks Sharon! Appreciate your comments and all the feedback on my Facebook fan page too. Glad you’ve enjoyed the site :)
Actually, I just realized that I never received any train posts! That’s weird..
Your Feedburner doesn’t like me.
It actually just went out by email, to those who signed up via feedburner to get email updates instead of just via RSS. :)
Hi Jodi, you never cease to amaze me with your blog updates and stories, and your twitter sharing some of the best links ever.
I hear you regarding packing. I travel often, not as much as you though (yet), and still dread packing. I never seem to master the art of packing for some reason. Anyway, looking forward to your adventures, and safe travel.
Ooooh, Morocco. So exciting. Can’t wait to hear all about it, Jodi. :)
I’ve never commented before but felt the need to tell you now- you don’t have to worry about my unsubscribe :) Your adventures will always be amusing to me even if they come in repeat!
Enjoy Morocco and Turkey. I can’t wait to hear about all that you see and do. I’ve been to Morocco and it is an absolutely stunning country. The coast off of Tangiers was one of the most breathtaking places I’ve been.
Thank you for the kind words Kierston! Looking forward to it and glad to hear you enjoyed it too. Thanks for reading.
