Hi. I’m Jodi Ettenberg. Welcome to Legal Nomads.
I used to be a lawyer. Now, I tell stories through food.
A decade ago, I quit my job as a corporate attorney to visit Siberia. I thought I would take a sabbatical from the law, making that Siberia trip into a round-the-world adventure. I started Legal Nomads to share photos and stories from my year of traveling.
Instead of returning to North America and the law, this site turned into a new career. Food became my obsession, and the best way I could connect to others in a new place. As a celiac, learning about food helped me navigate my travels with less anxiety and chance of illness.
On Legal Nomads, I share the lessons I have learned in my years of travel, as well as resources for people wanting to try something similar. I don’t sugar coat, and I don’t post fluff pieces. As my travels have evolved, so has this site.
Legal Nomads remains, most of all, a place to tell stories. I hope you enjoy it!
